We lost our key this morning! :( epicflailer: “Yeah, cause we suck.” It suddenly disappeared idek.

Walked to Sunnyside Cafe for a delish breakfast. Two eggs benedict on roasted tomatoes and scones with a fresh hollandaise mmm. Rosemary potatoes on the side, apparently it’s really popular here.

Epicflailer got an avocado omelette which looked like it was cooked with three eggs, and garlic tomatoes.

Took an F Bus to Emeryville and the bus driver stopped halfway to pee. How cool is that.

Emeryville’s kinda small. Was hoping for a whole load of shops. They’ve the normal stuff like GAP and A&F; I find it so hard to shop at these places. It’s memorial day weekend so most stuff are going at huge discounts. *_*

Ate at Pasta Pomodoro after, got a Frutti di Mare, a seafood mix of mussels, clams, shrimp etc and epicflailer got soupyyy and broccoli.

Went back and got a few meds for sick little epicflailer hohoho. Changminsgirl brought some vietnamese take-away nomnom.

Had an awesome crepe breakfast at this place on the main road which sells crepes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Had a salmon one, epicflailer had an avocado one and we shared french toasts mmm.

Walked around the estates around our bed and breakfast and the houses were reaaaally pretty. Most of them are rundown but rundown in a quaint and cosy way.

There were lotsa weird flowers I’d never seen before lol and most houses were covered in alot of plants, they were preeeetty. *_*

Took a bus to 4th Street and had lunch at Bette’s Diner! We had strawberry buttermilk pancakes, which the strawberry and pancake mix complemented one another so well. I had my long-craved-for key lime pie and epicflailer had some weird berry and something fruit crisp. MMM.

4th street is mostly a furniture shopping place, so we looked at alotta modern sofas and shit. Then epicflailer got a cute laundry basket which looks like a washing machine from CB2 (coming to Singapore later this year). And I got my Kinfolk mag vol. 3!

Got to Telegraph and bought a Mickey skull shirt heheh. Met changminsgirl and walked around her campus which was really big and pretty.

Went to their new apartment and changminsgirl made instant laksa yummm. AND THEN WENT HOME. Which was a damn long and dark walk.

$Had some really awesome korean prawn sushifrom Incheon’s airport just now mmm. Like soft shelled crab. *_* Listening to the Disney kids radio on the plane now heheh. Good classics will be good classics, like Cinderella’s Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, Bambi’s Little April Shower and the Mickey Mouse March (which sounded like kids marching to a new world order and hailing Mickey Mouse, like seriously lol). Chim Chim Cher-Ee now and I’ll stop when the shit Disney singers come on like The Ting Tings, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Big Time Rush. Disney is so sad now. Two and a half hours more till touchdown in Berkeley. Hate long plane rides. I feel so claustrophobic and restless. And I hate it when they give me mock meat ugh. Lol they listed Björk and Feist under pop. Poor girls. I still think Björk’s a little too creepy for my liking. I like the magical aspect of her songs though. Still creepy. Watching We Bought a Zoo again hehehe. And watched a portion of We Need to Talk about Kevin just now. I really need to widen my movie choices… Just touched down into California airport! \o/$

Omg look at Mary Poppin’s outfit especially her hat, so adooorbs. Julie Andrews was so charming and lovelyyy. Omg now they’ve jumped into the painting and the clothes they’ve changed to are so prettyyy. Bert the chimney sweeper’s orange pinstriped blazer and Poppins’ fluffy white dress tied by an orange corset. Ugh.

1. What is your favourite band?

Sigur Rós, definitely!

2. Winter or summer?

It depends on the location, ultimately but I like winter more. Maybe because I don’t really experience it much, being here on the equator.

3. Tea or coffee?

I’ve been a coffee addict for a long time, drinking two packets of Nestle coffee everyday. But switched to the healthier option, Oolong tea everyday, for obvious purposes.

4. Why this url?

Tanjken is short for my full name. Aedruleysi is just a temporary name for the moment until I think of something more ideal. It means serenity in Icelandic btw.

5. Favorite quote

I don’t really follow or try to remember peoples’ quotes but Carl Sagan said “The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition.” which hit me to realize that it’s so true.

I’ve a submission tomorrow which I refuse to do and I feel so powerless without my mouse. I need a new good mouse.

BERKELEY, CA.

So I’ve recently booked my plane ticket to Berkeley, California with my cousin Nininat to meet my other cousin Sarah WOOHOO! I always feel guilty going on these trips without my parents cause it’s so damn expensive and my parents are the ones working their asses off. Sigh, owosmi.

I’ll be flying off on the 26th of May and coming back on 19th of June, it’s really long so I hope there’ll be lotsa stuff to do there. We’ll be visiting a few other places as well like, going back to New York again to watch a broadway in which Andrew Garfield is in. And also we’ll be going to Disneyland. Dis. Ney. Land. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT.

I’ll be enlisting in prolly August so I hope submit any shit forms to the army telling them where ever I’m going. Can’t wait to get out of this shit place. Stupid Singapore.
